High Quality Staff: The majority of our staff have been with the practice for more than 10 years. They are caring, compassionate and quality people who consider it a privilege to be a part of your eye care team.
Access to our Doctors: Our patients have 24 hour / 7 days a week access to our doctors. With that in mind, Dr. Alessio gives every surgical patient his personal home and cell phone numbers.
Our Patients ARE our Practice: Our entire staff considers it a privilege to be a part of all your eye care needs. If you have any suggestions about how to improve our practice, please Contact Us.
Insurance: If you have a medical eye complaint (ie. tearing, redness, itching, floater …), pre-existing medical eye condition or a concern over a possible medical eye condition (cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, lazy eye), then your eye exam will be sent to your medical insurance.
We accept most medical insurance plans including most forms of Aetna, Anthem, United Healthcare, Medical Mutual, Medicare, AARP, Cigna, Humana, Emerald Health Network, TriCare, Worker’s Comp., PHCS, Kaiser, Nationwide, SummaCare and Wellcare plans. We also accept most of two vision plans: Eye Med and VSP. These two vision plans may provide optical coverage through your medical insurance, such as Kaiser. We also will see patients with other vision plans, but would be considered out of network.
While we accept almost all medical insurance plans, it is important that you check with your individual plan to make sure that we are listed as a provider. Since we are considered a specialist, it is also important to make sure that you do not need a referral from your primary doctor.
Our Promise: We commit to provide personalized, professional, complete medical and surgical eye care in attempts to maximize our patients’ quality of life. After all, the health of your eyes is our focus. Our doctors will continue to provide care to patients of all ages, from the latest technology in surgical procedures to routine eye examinations. And while we restore, preserve and enhance vision through the treatment of eye disease, we treat each patient as a unique individual. With this in mind, we strive to empower each patient by educating everyone about their eyes, their disease and the treatment options available.
