The definition of ‘doctor’ means ‘to teach’. We believe in educating every patient about the health of their eyes. Only once a patient understands a disease can they make a decision about the treatment options available.

While we accept many medical insurance plans, it is important that you check with your individual plan to make sure that we are a listed provider. Since we are considered a specialist, it is also important to make sure that you do not need a referral from your primary doctor.
Our patients have 24 hours / 7 days a week access to our doctors. With that in mind, Dr. Alessio gives every surgical patient his personal phone number.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Alessio
Dr. Reno Alessio is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist that specializes in cataract removal. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in 1995 while starring on the varsity baseball team. Dr. Alessio graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in 2000 and completed his internship at Akron General Medical Center. He fulfilled his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Rochester Eye Institute in Rochester, New York.

Dr. Clemans
Dr. Chelsey Clemans is a licensed optometrist specializing in ocular disease and contact lenses, as well as primary eye care for adults and children. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2005 with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. During her time at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, she also worked as an optician for a local optometrist.
